The US-1 North widening and reconstruction project in Jefferson County is a 3-year GDOT project that widens 6.475 miles of highway from CR 138 to SR 540 on US-1 North. Throughout the project, our Structures Division will construct two bridges over Big Creek. Crews will pour almost 100 cubic yards of concrete for the bridge’s substructure, set over 1,500 square feet of beams, and pour approximately 400 cubic yards of concrete for the bridge’s superstructure.
