Project Overview

The I-85 Collective Distribution Lanes Resurfacing Project consisted of 4.876 miles of milling and resurfacing. The project begins near the Old Peachtree Road overpass bridge and ends at Pleasant Hill Road and includes resurfacing the southbound CD lanes and 8 entry/exit ramps. The project included milling over 218,000 square yards and paving over 28,000 tons of hot asphalt mix.

These Weekend Wonder projects are a major operational effort spanning from Fridays at 6 p.m. to Mondays at 6 a.m. in our Asphalt Division. They involve meticulous planning and coordination across multiple departments, including our asphalt and milling VPs, superintendents, foremen and their crews, along with mechanics, traffic control, and logistics teams.
