MSE Walls
The I-85 widening project is a 2-year GDOT design-build project that widens 13 miles of interstate from US 129 to US 441. Throughout the project, our Roadway Division will lay over 416,000 tons of GAB and approximately 20,400 linear feet of drainage pipe. Our Structures Division will construct two bridges, two MSE walls totaling almost 8,500 square feet, and over 900 linear feet of 25-foot-tall noise wall. Our Asphalt Division will mill over 504,000 square yards and lay approximately 484,000 tons of asphalt.
